Steve Vaughn has been called "Florida’s most celebrated panoramic photographer." His work is displayed on the walls of numerous Florida corporations and private residences. He also exhibits his photographs at outdoor art shows and has been poster artist for the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival, the Mount Dora Arts Festival, and the Winter Park Autumn Art Festival. His most recent one-man show was at the Florida Museum of Natural History at the University of Florida.
Art and photography are a second career for the Florida native, who graduated from the College of Journalism at the University of Florida and built a 25-year career at the Orlando Sentinel newspaper. He was sports editor, managing editor and, in 1980, was appointed executive editor, a position he held until 1992. He has pursued art and photography on a full-time basis since then.
